For the third year, The Laneway Project is gathering together designers, planners, artists, decision-makers and laneway lovers for an evening full of art, entertainment and a lively discussion on the imaginative ways we can liven up our cities laneways.
Moderated by Annabel Vaughan of public LAB and ERA Architects, five panelists will discuss the opportunities and challenges involved in improving Toronto’s laneways, what needs to change to realize the potential of our laneways, and what we need to create a stronger laneway movement in Toronto.
The hard workers behind this event have arranged panelists from a variety of backgrounds with differing points of view to delve into the heart of issue. These include;
Jake Tobin Garrett, Manager, Policy and Research, Park People
Jessica Myers, Executive Director, Junction BIA
Jonathan Morrice, Community Safety & Social Media Officer, 55 Division, Toronto Police Service
Mark van Elsberg, Project Manager, Pedestrian Projects, Public Realm Section, Transportation Services, City of Toronto
Monica Wickeler, Laneway Mural Artist
After the panel, stick around for music, great food, mingling and an exhibit of laneway-inspired art and installations.
