Known as Deer Park to some and Yonge and St. Clair to many, this area is on the pulse and adapting to the ever-changing needs of the area and the residents who call it home.

An area rich in history, the Heath family purchased 40 acres at the corner of Yonge and St. Clair in 1837. By 1950 a school, racetrack, and hotel with roaming deer occupied the neighbourhood. It was later named Deer Park because the citizens would often feed the deer that occupied the family property.

Deer Park is now a beautiful balance of lively shopping, businesses and entertainment with flourishing green parks, aged trees and a Ravine. Vibrant and diverse, this area truly offers something for everyone.

The Rosehill Reservoir is an escape from the city noise. Located just steps from Yonge and St Clair, this outdoor retreat has a waterfall, 4-acre cobblestone lined pool and flower gardens. Oriole Park is comprised of a playground, water play area, wading pool and tennis courts.

The neighbourhood currently has one of the largest selections of luxury condominiums in Toronto with ravine, park views and sweeping city skylines. Most homes built in Deer Park were constructed between 1875 and 1920 and consist of a range of architectural styles providing charm and character. A mix of detached and semi-detached homes fabricates the residential area.

Deer Park is known for its fine dining and upscale shopping that attracts people universally. Residents are within walking distance to the St. Clair subway station and motorists can be downtown in approximately ten minutes. The new streetcar tracks along St. Clair allow the streetcars to move independently from the traffic relieving rush hour congestion.

In February 2017, the historic Badminton and Racquet Club of Toronto caught fire causing nearby residents and businesses to evacuate. The true spirit of Deer Park was demonstrated as the community came together to rebuild and offer their support to those in need.
